I thought I’d do a quick review of my new 30th Anniversary Boba Fett Figure.

He’s no RAH Boba Fett but he’s still really awesome. He has 19 points of articulation and some really incredible detail. I think my favorite part of Fett’s articulation is the ball-jointed neck. The idea that you can give a character like Fett (a character that would never show signs of being a sad wuss) a “sad look” is just hilarious and cool.

Boba Fett is one of my favorite Star Wars characters and the 30th Anniversary figure is just really cool. My only gripe is that he didn’t get his own coin like the other 30th Anniversary characters did.

I’m not what is known as a “kind collector.” I collect different action figures from many different genres and I’m a fickle bastard. I’ll really be enamored with, say, Star Trek so I’ll just throw all my Transformers figures into storage boxes and then I’ll display my Trek shit. I’ll then get into a Marvel fix or something like that so I’ll toss all my Star Trek stuff into a couple of boxes and then display the Marvel stuff.

So all my toys, in other words, suffer the storage fate at one point or another. I’m not as nice to my toys as I should be but that’s part of the challenge of being a collector who wants to display all 3,000 or so of his figures at once and can’t.

Of all of the different action figures that suffer the “storage fate,” the Star Wars toys seem to suffer the most. Why? Because they’re the most disorganized figures in my collection. My Transformers figures are all in one place and they’re usually boxed up in some kind of an organized order whereas I seem to just throw all my Star Wars shit into random boxes that are here and there and everywhere.

So long story short, I decided to finally get all of my Star Wars toys together in one space so I wouldn’t have any trouble finding them in the future. And that, weirdly enough, was a hell of a lot of trouble. I had to go to two different storage sheds on my property and spend hours digging through different boxes before I found all my figures. But they’re all together now and most of them are in my Darth Maul cookie jar.

It may not look like it but there are over 30 figures in Darth Maul’s head.

I know this is kind of a weird post to have as my first post but I’m just really happy to have most of my Star Wars figures in one place.
